Ocean Vida has created the Saltwater Senorita ladies fishing tournament to extend the fishing tourism on South Padre Island into the fall season. This year’s event will take place on October 27th and 28th at Parrot Eyes Restaurant, Bar, Water Sports, & Marina . The event will be a ladies fishing tournament consisting of a Friday night Captain’s meeting with dinner and Saturday’s tournament, weigh-in, and award presentations. Proceeds of the tournament will go to support the continued rebuilding efforts along the Texas coast after Hurricane Harvey.

The event is designed to promote South Padre Island fishing, the supporting tourism amenities, our Sponsors, and Hurricane Harvey Relief efforts. The island is visited by hundreds of thousands, during the summer, from around the world and we wish to help grow the tourism into the Fall. The fishing tournament is also designed to provide more opportunity and options for female anglers on the South Texas coast. In order to celebrate the bi-lingual uniqueness of the island and its proximity to the USA and Mexico border, we’ve named it the Saltwater Senorita (translation: young lady) tournament.
